Shelter Visit 2/2/2019

It was another successful week at the shelter! Siiri and Jordi headed the team this week with help from the latest additions to our volunteer group. Welcome to the team, Nadja, Desirée, Ulrika, and Emil! We are happy to have you onboard! The animals are very grateful for your time and dedication. We continue to feel completely humbled by the outpouring of people willing to help save the lives of these animals. Without you all, they would much, much worse off. Thank you.

The morning started off with a quick tour from Julie to get everyone acquainted on the ins and outs of the shelter and a few stories about a a few dogs. Hearing their history about how they got dumped at the shelter (or how they’ve spent their entire lives there) is always something that’s hard to hear,  but knowing that we’re out here working to get them a better life is what keeps us going. Julie said that in all her years of volunteering, she hasn’t seen the shelter so empty! Great motivation!

Three of the dogs that we have been working hard at finding a home for got adopted and one other was taken out in trail to make sure she gets along with the other family pup! Curly, Armin, and Lolo all now have warm homes of their own. We are so happy for them and grateful for their new parents who have let them into their lives. We promise you won’t be disappointed you did! Well done to Rescue Me Sitges for arranging the adoptions!

Sol is heading in to the vet this week to get her legs looked at  Keep your fingers crossed for her!

All in all, this week was very successful and if we were dogs, we’d be wagging our tails with joy!

If you are thinking of adopting, fostering, or volunteering, don’t hesitate to get involved! We would love to hear from you.
