Edad/Age:  5 años aprox

Personality: Lupe is a girl who loves people and prefers to enjoy our company to the maximum. Much better to be an only cat and be the centre of attention! She had a difficult time in the street defending the scarce resources she had and that has ended up been her ticket out. Lupe will get a lovely home and all the food she wants, and her former buddies can now enjoy their meals in peace 😹

Though nervy at first in a new place and needing patience to feel settled, Lupe is so happy and comfortable in her queendom (her fosterer’s apartment) now. She's also become good with new people though prefers to be the one who makes the first move. While she takes some time to adapt to new environments, Lupe is a cat who has always loved people and pats and attention. We've discovered that head scratches are her instant-purr button. And she certainly won't turn down butt scratches either! She'll approach with some small meows when she's seeking pats and will give some encouragement again if she thinks you're stopping too soon. Lupe gets so excited about getting petted sometimes that she can't settle in one place, but she's learning how to sit on laps 🥰 Sometimes she hangs her head over the edge of the bed or sofa for belly rubs then inevitably falls off. She also LOVES lazy morning cuddles and makes a great little spoon. With the arrival of cooler weather she has recently discovered that duvets exist and has since claimed the bed as her own. Lupe loves the return of her humans after they’ve been out and will come running whenever her foster mum gets home to show her how big she can stretch. And as soon as anyone heads towards the sofa she overtakes them and hops up awaiting scratches.

Lupe has settled beautifully into an indoor life over the past months and we love seeing her personality shine through, and her walls come down. It is a joy to experience this sweet girl discovering how to play for the first time: always one of wonderful parts of bringing an adult street cat into a home. Her current favourite toy is chasing her own tail 🥺😹 She's also become a lot more energetic and playful with the things around her. She's super, super curious, and very silly. She enjoys a good wrestle with the blanket on her bed. She plays with toys and prefers to play with them solo, rather than needing a lot of input from her humans. She definitely has her zoomy moments and loves to jump from bed-to-floor-to-windowsill or get a good gallop going.

In her calm moments, Lupe enjoys sitting at the window and bird-watching, making the cute little ek-ek-ek-ek "I see a bird" sound. She's a very observant girl with all of her surroundings. She also a girl with a funny side and will make you laugh by standing on her food sometimes to eat. Maybe she still thinks the other cats are going to try and take it? And we think if Lupe needs to pull her weight in the family in future, her dream career would be as an archeologist. She is an excellent digger and burier 🤭

Lupe is a young adult with a much better future ahead of her than the life she's had until now. She'll be a loving companion for someone seeking a deep bond with their cat.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Lupe is the only cat in her foster home.

Can Iive with kids? We think that Lupe would prefer to live with adults but she'd be fine with kids once settled in her home.

Can live with other animals? No, Lupe would prefer to be an only cat.

Ideal home: Lupe would love a tranquil home with a single or couple, without other animals.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Lupe es una chica a la que le encanta la gente y prefiere disfrutar al máximo de nuestra compañía. Mejor ser gatita única y ser el centro del universo 💫 Lo pasó mal en la calle defendiendo los escasos recursos que tenía y eso ha acabado siendo su billete de salida. Lupe tendrá un hogar encantador y toda la comida que quiera, y sus antiguos compañeros ya pueden disfrutar de su comida en paz 😹

Aunque al principio estaba nerviosa en un sitio nuevo y necesitaba paciencia para adaptarse, Lupe está muy contenta y cómoda en su reino (su casa de acogida). También se lleva bien con la gente nueva, aunque prefiere ser ella quien dé el primer paso. Aunque tarda un poco en adaptarse a nuevos entornos, Lupe es una gata a la que siempre le han gustado las personas, las caricias y la atención. Hemos descubierto que darle rasguños en la cabeza son su botón de ronroneos instantáneo. Y tampoco rechaza que le rasquen el trasero. Se acercará con unos pequeños maullidos cuando busque caricias y volverá a animarte si cree que te detienes demasiado pronto. Lupe se excita tanto cuando la acarician que no puede quedarse en un sitio, pero está aprendiendo a sentarse en el regazo 🥰 A veces cuelga la cabeza en el borde de la cama o el sofá para que le acaricien la barriga y luego se cae. También le encantan los mimos mañaneros y es una cucharita estupenda. Con la llegada del frío, ha descubierto que existen los edredones y ha reclamado la cama como suya. A Lupe le encanta cuando vuelvan a casa sus humanos y viene corriendo cada vez para enseñarle a su mamá de acogida lo grande que se puede estirar. Y en cuanto alguien se dirige al sofá, ella se le adelanta y salta a la espera de mimos.

Lupe se ha adaptado perfectamente a la vida indoor en los últimos meses y nos encanta ver cómo brilla su personalidad y se derrumban sus muros. Es una gozada ver a esta dulce niña descubriendo cómo jugar por primera vez: siempre es una de las partes maravillosas de sacar un gat@ adult@ de la calle. Su juguete favorito actualmente es perseguirse la cola 🥺😹 También se ha vuelto mucho más enérgica y juguetona con las cosas que la rodean. Es súper, súper curiosa y muy tonta. Ella disfruta de una buena lucha con la manta en su cama. Juega con los juguetes y prefiere hacerlo sola, en lugar de necesitar mucha intervención de sus humanos. Sin duda tiene sus momentos de hacer carreteras y le encanta saltar de la cama al suelo y al alféizar de la ventana o ponerse a galopar.

En sus momentos de tranquilidad, a Lupe le gusta sentarse junto a la ventana y observar los pájaros, haciendo el simpático sonido ek-ek-ek-ek de «veo un pájarito». Es una chica muy observadora con todo lo que le rodea. También es una chica con un lado divertido y te hará reír poniéndose de pie sobre su comida a veces para comer. ¿Quizás todavía piensa que los otros gatos van a intentar cogerla? Y creemos que si Lupe tiene que aportar su granito de arena a la familia en el futuro, su carrera soñada sería la de arqueóloga. Es una excelente excavadora y enterradora 🤭

Lupe es una joven adulta con un futuro mucho mejor por delante que la vida que ha tenido hasta ahora. Será una compañera cariñosa para alguien que busque un vínculo profundo con su gata.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Creemos que Lupe preferiría vivir con adultos pero estaría bien con niños una vez adaptada a su hogar.
